Database
All of the data captured in the course of the Amheida project, including drawings, forms, and images, is organized in a single database, designed to be capable of taking in additional sites as well.
The data from the excavations at Ain el-Gedida is also included in the database.
The database includes as well digitized publications relevant to the project and a considerable amount of mapping. This database is currently available only to team members at www.amheida.com
As a part of our publication plan we will make available to the general public the materials we have collected. In presenting a public excavation database, we will enable individuals to prepare for a project, build course syllabi, develop in-class teaching aids, or shape texts and images for upcoming publications. It is our hope that the online database will support curriculum and research at New York University and other institutions as well as the interests of the general public.
